Quadra Chemicals is currently seeking a Procurement Specialist for our Industrial Chemicals Group. This individual will be responsible for placing replenishment orders with existing suppliers to ensure business continuity and enhance the customer experience, all while minimizing inventory carrying costs and associated risks.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Procurement Specialist?
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including issuing purchase orders for chemical products, tracking deliveries, and inventory management
• Proactively implementing measures to minimize aging inventory
• Foster strong and seamless communication between our commercial team and dedicated Product Managers while collaborating with cross functional teams
• Monitoring supplier performance and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise
• Diligently reconcile complex supplier invoices monthly, ensuring accuracy and clarity in our financial transactions
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Maintaining accurate procurement records and quality documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines
• In collaboration with the Product Managers, keeping up to date with industry trends, market conditions, sales trends and best practices in procurement
• Reviewing and taking action on weekly profit/loss reports; collaborate on cost-saving initiatives and optimizing procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce expenses
• Handle data entry across multiple platforms
What are the qualifications needed to have success in this position?
• University degree or post-secondary education in Business/Commerce or Supply Chain would be an asset
• Minimum 3 years experience working in procurement, inventory control or supply chain
• Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) and experience working with SAP or JD Edwards will be considered as a strong asset for this role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate, understand requirements and influence decisions
• Must be detail oriented and have keen eye for detail
• Possess a growth mindset, being self-motivated and have a solutions-oriented attitude
• Excited to contribute towards a high-performance culture, accustomed to a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (English/French) would be an asset

Compensation Information: The annual base pay range for this position is reasonably expected to be $51,000 to $76,600. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
