Job Title: Principal – Elementary/Junior High School

Position Summary
The Principal serves as the educational leader and chief administrator of the elementary/junior high school, providing strategic leadership to ensure a high-quality, inclusive, and safe learning environment. The Principal is accountable for academic excellence, staff performance, student development, operational management, and community engagement in alignment with the school’s mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Set and promote a shared vision for academic excellence and student success.
- Lead the development and implementation of school-wide programs and initiatives.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful school culture.
Instructional Leadership
- Supervise and evaluate all teaching staff to ensure high instructional standards.
- Oversee curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation to meet or exceed educational requirements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to staff and promote continuous professional growth.
Student Achievement & Wellbeing
- Monitor and support student academic, social, and emotional development.
- Implement appropriate policies for student discipline and well-being.
- Engage with families to build partnerships supporting student success.
Operational Management
- Manage daily school operations, scheduling, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, policies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Oversee budget planning and resource allocation in collaboration with the Executive Director/Board.
Community Relations
- Serve as a primary liaison between the school, parents, and community stakeholders.
- Represent the school at events, meetings, and in public forums.
- Build strong relationships with external partners to enhance programs and opportunities for students.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field (required).
- Valid Teaching Certificate (required).
- Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in an elementary or junior high setting.
- Minimum of 2 years administrative or leadership experience in a school environment.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum, instructional best practices, and student assessment methods.
- Demonstrated leadership, management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Work Conditions:
- Full-time, typically Monday to Friday, with flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends as required for school activities.

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
