Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including forklifts.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and routes.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transport.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving.
- Perform basic mechanical maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
- Previous experience in freight transportation or commercial driving is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles is advantageous.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends if necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
