Position Summary
We are seeking a Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components for custom HVAC equipment. This role requires technical expertise, precision, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret Shop drawings, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Cut, notch, bend otherwise shape and form metal stock into components.
- Operate a variety of light and heavy metalworking machines, including:
- Press Brake
- Shear
- Notcher
- Forklift (asset)
- Clean, maintain, and lubricate machinery and tools.
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.
- Complete projects within tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Support a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or HVAC shop environment an asset
- Minimum Grade 12 education.
- Proven ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications.
- Forklift and crane operation experience (asset).
- Strong management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate a variety of fabrication equipment.
- Flexible to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as required.
- Physically fit, energetic, and capable of handling loads up to 23 kg (75 lbs.).
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Hours of work:
- Monday to Thursday 6 am - 3:30 pm
- Friday 6 am to 2:30 pm
