Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook/Dishwasher to join our dynamic kitchen team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service, from meal preparation to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly handled.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is stored, prepared, and served safely.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Assist in cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or working in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to learn new cooking techniques and improve culinary skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
