Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Podiatrist/Chiropodist to join our team of two full time podiatrists. We offer a full patient caseload upon hire. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions related to the feet, ankles, and lower extremities. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, acute care practices, and effective pain management strategies. The Podiatrist will work closely with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, to provide comprehensive foot care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients' feet and lower extremities to diagnose conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Casting and fitting patients for custom orthotics, orthopaedic footwear, and foot & ankle devices.
- Perform surgical procedures when required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record software.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients on foot health, injury prevention, and proper footwear choices.
- Order imaging and prescribe for medications as required
Qualifications
- Chiropodist (D.Ch), Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) or Podiatry degree from an accredited institution.
- Candidate is required to register with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) in order to practice Podiatry in Nova Scotia
- Proficient in medical terminology related to podiatric care.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
