PRIMARY ASSIGNMENTS:
- Installing, repairing, and completing connections for sewer and water pipes, plumbing fixtures, and other systems.
- Assist in exposing sewer and water services, including jackhammering and hand digging.
- Assist in sewer and water line repair and replacement projects (CIPP, relining, sleeving, service pulls, open trench repairs, pipe bursting, etc.).
- Identify and locate leaks.
- Install backwater valves/ backflow preventers.
- Complete thorough inspection and testing of plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance; including sewer pipe camera inspections and water line pressure testing.
ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License with a clean abstract; personal reliable transportation.
- Experience with residential plumbing. Knowledge of sewer and water line tie-ins, ability to conduct water meter moves, disconnecting and reconnecting hot water tanks and furnaces, installation of backflow preventers and other residential plumbing.
- Experience with drain cleaning (augering and jetting) will be considered an asset.
- Experience with CCTV sewer camera inspections will be considered an asset.
- Understanding of, and adherence to construction procedure and safety practices.
- Concrete (form, mixing, pouring), minor fill finishing, and basic landscaping.
