Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in a hospital or medical office setting. This role involves assessing patient conditions, developing treatment plans, and managing ongoing patient care, particularly in acute care environments.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories from patients.
- Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions under the supervision of a physician.
- Administer medications and perform procedures as necessary, including pain management techniques.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems, such as Epic, to document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Perform phlebotomy as needed for laboratory tests and assessments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and best practices in patient care.
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly Epic.
- Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and pain management strategies.
- Experience in acute care settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to healthcare delivery.
- Familiarity with medical office operations and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and patient management.
