About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pharmacists with prescription processing, medication preparation, inventory management, and patient service. Whether you’re experienced in retail, hospital, or long-term care settings, we welcome skilled technicians who are committed to safe, efficient, and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare and package prescription and non-prescription medications
Assist pharmacists in prescription verification and dispensing
Manage inventory and place orders for medications and supplies
Handle customer service inquiries and resolve issues professionally
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy work area
Enter and maintain patient records in the pharmacy management system
Comply with legal and regulatory guidelines including privacy and safety protocols
Qualifications:
Completion of a Pharmacy Technician diploma or certificate program
Current registration/licensure with the Newfoundland (or eligibility to register)
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medications
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with pharmacy software (e.g., Kroll, HealthWatch, PioneerRx, etc.) is an asset
