Seamless Care Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Packaging & Compounding Assistant to join our team in Scarborough. In this role, you will support pharmacists and registered technicians by ensuring accurate packaging and compounding of medications while maintaining smooth pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities:
Packaging:
- Store medications correctly according to pharmacy guidelines.
- Regularly check and manage expiry dates on medication bottles.
- Clean and maintain production and packaging machines (PacMed, SynMed) on a regular schedule.
- Accurately verify DIN numbers for all medications.
- Fill canisters with the correct products efficiently and safely.
- Perform STS with a high degree of accuracy.
- Detect, correct, and prevent errors before medications reach patients.
- Check and verify packaged medications for accuracy.
- Package and modify compliance packaging as needed.
- Inspect Med Pouches for errors, broken tabs, and other issues
Compounding:
- Assist pharmacists in preparing non-sterile compounded medications.
- Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients according to formulas.
- Label compounded medications in compliance with pharmacy standards.
- Maintain proper records of all compounded products.
- Follow compounding SOPs, safety, and sanitation protocols at all times.
General:
- Assist with other tasks in the packaging and compounding department.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety across all work areas.
Qualifications
- Pharmacy background is required
- Previous compounding experience is an asset.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to identify differences in medication shape, color, and size.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and stay focused with minimal supervision.
- Problem-solving skills with a flexible and resourceful attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with computers and ability to learn pharmacy software.
- Weekend availability is required.
