Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacy Licensee to join our Pharmacy Operations in Red Deer, Alberta.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, pharmacy operations, and medication administration. As a Pharmacy Licensee, you will work closely with healthcare professionals and lead a dedicated team to support patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the dispensing of medications in accordance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure accurate medication administration by verifying prescriptions and patient information.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication management.
- Maintain comprehensive records of medication inventory and usage.
- Provide guidance and support to pharmacy technicians in their daily tasks.
- Educate patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Stay updated on pharmaceutical developments, medical terminology, and best practices in pharmacy operations.
Requirements
- Valid pharmacy license in accordance with state regulations.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices.
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with patient care protocols and medication administration procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while prioritizing patient safety and care quality.

Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year
