- Daily tasks and responsibilities
- -Provide prompt and courteous patient service
- -Take in member prescriptions gathering all necessary information
- -Enter prescriptions accurately and timely with minimum supervision, label, and stock medications-Compound mixtures and suspensions
- -Answer the phone and be able to troubleshoot problems
- -Communicate with members, co-workers, health care professionals and suppliers-Retrieve filled prescriptions and process register transactions-Promote medication reviews, flu shots, and health promotion clinics
- Qualifications:-Completion of a certified Pharmacy Assistant program from an accredited institution is required
- -Applicants with pharmacy experience will be given preference over other candidates
- -Strong communication skills required
- -Knowledge of Kroll software (or other computer/data entry skills) is an asset.
