Responsibilities:
- Practice within all federal/provincial legal requirements
- Provide counseling on prescriptions, over/behind the counter products
- Ensure accuracy and clinical appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed.
- Collaborate with other health professionals within the community to provide patient care
- Dispense methadone to patients
- Able to provide services under the expanded scope of practice (i.e. minor ailment prescribing)
- Able to work days, evenings, and weekends
Education and Experience:
- Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Injection Certification
- Working experience with Kroll Pharmacy dispensing software is an asset
- Understanding and knowledge of non-sterile compounding also an asset
- Bilingualism is an asset
