Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in grooming various breeds of dogs and cats. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services while ensuring the comfort and safety of pets. The Pet Groomer will also engage with pet owners, providing exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships.
Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and cats of all breeds.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming services, pet care tips, and any concerns observed during grooming.
- Handle pets safely and compassionately during the grooming process, ensuring their comfort at all times.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, including larger breeds or multiple pets.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming techniques and trends to provide the best service possible.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pet Groomer or in a related field is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger animals.
- Knowledge of various dog and cat breeds, their grooming needs, and behavior.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information to clients.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.
- Certification from a recognized grooming school is a plus but not mandatory.
