Job Description
We are looking to expand our team of healthcare professionals and would be happy to hear from you if you are an experienced Personal Support Worker living in Puslinch. Our company is well-established and well-respected in the industry and we are able to offer an excellent compensation package and flexible work schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a part of the team, your responsibilities as a Personal Support Worker would include:
- Assisting individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients
- Administering medications following prescribed guidelines
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding if necessary
- Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Helping with mobility assistance including heavy lifting when required
- Documenting care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the appropriate medical personnel
Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate/ Diploma
- Police Check;
- First Aid/CPR Certificate;
Additional Requirements
- Possess excellent attention to detail and have the ability to work with and maintain complete and proper documentation meticulously;
- Ability to work well both individually and with others on a multidisciplinary medical team;
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Driver's license is an asset!
