About the Role
Sunshine Care is seeking compassionate and reliable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) and experienced Caregivers to join our growing team. You will provide in-home support to seniors and individuals with unique care needs, helping them maintain comfort, dignity, and independence.
This role involves delivering personal care and day-to-day assistance while fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Support mobility and safe transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks
- Offer companionship and encourage engagement in meaningful activities
- Monitor changes in health or behavior and report to care coordinators
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
- Collaborate with families and care teams to ensure a holistic approach to care
Skills and Attributes
- Previous experience in senior care, home support, or assisted living settings
- Comfortable supporting clients with diverse physical or cognitive needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, and committed to high-quality care
- Basic home management and cooking skills
- Familiarity with home care protocols is an asset
Qualifications
- PSW Certificate from a recognized Ontario college or private career college (required)
- OR Health Care Aide/Nursing Assistant Certificate with relevant experience (may be considered)
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License (G2 or G) and reliable transportation
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with seniors (preferred)
- Current CPR and First Aid (Level C) certification
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Proof of immunizations and recent TB screening
- Compliance with current public health guidelines
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
- At least one professional reference (preferably a past supervisor or manager)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
