Western Fair Association is looking for responsible and courteous individuals to operate a golf cart-style people mover in the Paddock Tunnel during the 10-day Annual Western Fair. This role is essential in helping safely transport guests and staff through the tunnel area, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable fair experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a golf cart-style people mover through the Paddock Tunnel
- Provide assistance to passengers as they board and exit the vehicle
- Ensure safe driving practices at all times, particularly in high-traffic pedestrian areas
- Deliver friendly, helpful, and professional customer service
- Follow all Western Fair safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
- Previous experience operating golf carts or similar vehicles (an asset)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to remain calm and courteous in a busy, public-facing environment
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work outdoors and in the tunnel, potentially in various weather conditions
- Able to sit for extended periods and assist with light lifting (up to 15 lbs)
- Must be available for the full fair duration, including evenings and weekends
