Mari Bakeshop is looking for a Pastry Prep cook to join our team! You will be performing routine kitchen tasks such as setting up work stations and preparing ingredients for recipes.
-Responsibilities
- Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Prepare ingredients by washing and chopping fruits, separating eggs, etc
- Demould pastry items and chocolate discs
- Undertake basic cooking and baking duties such as making pastry cream, ganache, caramel, jams, fruit reduction, etc
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
- Clean as you go and maintain a sense of urgency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
