Pastry Chef - Cafeclub (Downtown Vancouver)
Cafeclub is a busy, independent coffee shop in the heart of downtown Vancouver (Georgia & Burrard). We’re known for our premium coffee, curated food menu, and in-house baked pastries.
We’re looking for a full-time Pastry Chef to take ownership of our pastry program, leading production, bringing fresh ideas, and helping us take our menu to the next level.
Position Details:
- Schedule: 5 days/week, typically 5:00am – 11:30am
- Hours: 30–40 hrs/week (depending on scheduling needs)
- Pay: $20+ per hour (based on experience) + $3–4/hr in tips
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5+ years of pastry/baking experience (café, bakery, or restaurant)
- Strong skills with scones, muffins, croissants, pastry cream, custards, puff pastry, cookies, and other baked goods.
- Creativity and ambition to design and develop pastries that excite guests
- Detail-oriented, organized, and consistent in execution
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Clean and professional work habits
