Parts Sales Specialist – Water and Wastewater Treatment
The Parts Sales Specialist will be responsible for helping our customers order the necessary parts for their applications. As an integral part of the Parts Fulfilment team, the Parts Sales Specialist will help sales and account managers with parts, cost, and lead time information. The Parts Sales Specialist will generate quotations and enter sales opportunities into SalesForce as well as invoicing the client. This is an opportunity to make meaningful connections and ensure that our customers applications are successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid customers in identifying required parts to fulfil an order.
- Inform sales/customers of part detail, availability, and prices.
- Process orders and distribute tracking information.
- Enter RMA’s for customer returns.
- Liaison between internal team and customer to fulfil customer documentation requirements and obtain approvals/order releases.
- Generate quotes in Sales Force and ensure payment terms are accurate.
- Schedule Field Service Technicians for project commissioning and to troubleshoot or replace parts post project closure.
- Create opportunities (records) in Sales Force.
- Enter projects/orders.
- Inform customer of expected delivery date via order acknowledgements.
- Follow up on orders with operations and fulfilment team to provide order updates to the customers and address customer concerns regarding order fulfilment.
- Correct order entry errors or oversights (shortages, wrong items shipped, etc.).
- Collect credit applications if necessary.
- Manage projects warranty and claims.
- Conduct Customer Satisfaction Survey.
- Other duties as reasonably assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong written and communication skills to cater to multiple audiences, work effectively with sales, account managers, customers, purchasing, shipping and other Napier-Reid functional areas.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to work under pressure and under time constraint.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma and at least one year experience in Customer Service, Sales, or related field is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration/management or similar field is preferred.
- Experience with ERP and CRM software (for example, Salesforce) and Microsoft 360 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Preferred general business knowledge – International Commercial Terms, payment terms, basic accounting knowledge, gross margin etc.
