Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will help manage the flow of our reclaimed wood furniture, vintage and antique pottery inventory, ensuring that our products are carefully handled, organized, and shipped to our customers with care. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has an appreciation for vintage and antique goods, and thrives in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Warehouse:
- Order Fulfillment: Pack and wrap customer orders with care to ensure safe shipment. Help customers load & pack cars after appointments.
- Inventory Management: Assist in organizing and shelving vintage and antique goods, and arranging wooden furniture.
- Receiving Shipments: Help offload containers of imported vintage and antique pieces (including furniture).
- Tagging & Sorting: Label and categorize products accurately for storage and sale.
- Quality Control: Inspect and handle items with attention to their delicate nature.
- General Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the workspace clean, organized, and safe.
Delivery:
- Vehicle Packing: Safely load, secure, and transport furniture and delicate vintage items to customer homes or commercial spaces.
- Delivery: Deliver items with care, ensuring customer spaces are respected and items are placed as directed. Includes receiving signatures and confirming all items are delivered.
- Moving: Maneuver heavy furniture (up to 250 lbs with assistance) safely.
- Communication: Communicate professionally with customers upon arrival and during deliveries.
- Time/Route Management: Use GPS and route planning tools to ensure timely deliveries.
- Vehicle Safety: Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse, fulfillment, or retail stock experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Attention to detail, especially when handling fragile and one-of-a-kind items.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Interest in reclaimed wood furniture, vintage and antique goods is a plus!
Driver-Specific Qualifications
- Valid G-Class Driver’s License with clean driving record (insurance requirement).
- Must be 25 years of age or older, as required by our commercial auto insurance policy.
- Comfortable driving and parking medium/large delivery vans.
- Operating company vehicle in a safe & courteous manner
- Strong spatial awareness and physical capability to safely move and load heavy furniture.
- Professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.
Physical Qualifications
- Requires physical activity, including lifting or moving materials, for most shifts.
- Requires moving, lifting and packing wooden furniture, vintage pottery & accessories. Some items may be heavy.
- Requires standing for most of the shift.
