Medicine Hat College is seeking part-time, sessional nursing instructors in our collaborative nursing degree program with the University of Calgary. These part-time, sessional positions include opportunities in both the Fall 2025 (September 2, 2025 – December 5, 2025) and Winter 2026 (January 6, 2026 – April 14, 2026) terms.
A little about the role:
This position will provide instruction to students in clinical or on campus lab settings. Faculty will also engage in all aspects of student and program success, including but not limited to, participating in program and college meetings and committees, curriculum development, and scholarly activity. Experience in on-line and face-to-face formats would be an asset.
Fall 2025 Term:
Clinical Instructor: NURS 489 Clinical
- Location: Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, Various medical units
- Term: September 2, 2025– December 5, 2025
- Shifts: Days/Evenings, alternating, 8-hour shifts
- Weeks 1-6: September 2, 2025-October 10, 2025, x 3 instructors
- Weeks 7-12: October 13, 2025-December 6, 2025, x 2 instructors
- Hours: 192 (12 weeks) or 96 (6 weeks)
Winter 2026 term:
Clinical Instructor: NRSG 352 Clinical
- Location: Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, Various medical units
- Term: Jan 6-Apr 15 (MHC Winter Term) 6 weeks or 12 weeks
- Wednesdays and Thursdays, alternating days/evenings
- Hours: 184 (12 weeks) or 92 (6 weeks)
Clinical Instructor: NURS 499 Clinical
- Location: Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, Various Medical Units
- Term: Jan 12- April 13, 2025
- Shifts: Monday/Tuesday, alternating days and evenings
- Hours: 96 (6weeks) or 192 (12 weeks)

As a successful applicant you'll have:
- A bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
- 5 years of full-time nursing practice as a Registered Nurse.
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
- Current or immediate eligibility for CRNA registration and be a member in good standing.
- Prior teaching experience preferred with the ability to incorporate theory into practice.
- Willingness to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that focuses on student success and has a positive, appreciative and enthusiastic personality.
- Strong communication skills and computer literacy.
