Senior Support Services – CPHC, a non-profit charitable community support service provider invites applications for a Part-Time Service Assistant. Reporting to the CSS Manager, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self-directed, detail oriented and enthusiastic individual with excellent customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills; The candidate must relate well to clients, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:
· Scheduling transportation services for partnering organizations across Leeds and Grenville.
· Coordinating, scheduling, and prioritizing transportation services for all CSS clients.
· Organize and maintain the wellness call program.
· Provide coverage and assistance to other Service Assistant positions when required.
· Input, update & maintain client management system.
· Ensures effective office and telephone public relations with clients, caregivers, volunteers, and other agencies.
· Troubleshooting and problem solving with clients and volunteers over the phone.
· Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualified candidates should possess:
· The ability to efficiently and accurately enter and manage electronic client data within defined time frames is essential.
· Certificate from a recognized Community College in Office Administration or equivalent administrative experience is preferred.
· Course and/or experience in working with seniors and volunteers preferred.
· Strong computer skills are mandatory including Microsoft Excel, Word, Internet, and Email.
· Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills a must.
· Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.
This position is Regular, Part-Time guaranteed 30 hours per week. The schedule will be determined by the organization based on organizational needs within operating hours, 8:00am – 4:00pm Mon-Fri.
This position is unionized – SEIU Local 1 Canada.
