Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Hair Styling Assistant who will support our stylists with day-to-day salon operations while also assisting with light administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in growing within the hair and beauty industry, especially if you have a passion for curly or afro-textured hair.
Key Responsibilities
In-Salon Support
- Assist stylists with shampooing, conditioning, detangling, and prepping clients’ hair.
- Help maintain a clean and organized salon environment (sanitizing tools, tidying stations, laundry).
- Support with blow-drying, sectioning, and other prep work under stylist supervision.
- Greet and welcome clients, ensuring a friendly and professional experience.
Administrative Support
- Answer phone calls and assist with booking appointments.
- Help manage inventory of products and salon supplies.
- Assist with confirming appointments and follow-up communications.
- Support with basic record-keeping and other front-desk duties.
Qualifications
- Previous salon or customer service experience is an asset (not required).
- Familiarity with curly and/or afro-textured hair is a bonus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Friendly, professional, and client-focused attitude.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
