Hansik is seeking passionate individuals for the position of part-time cook.
Located near Yorkdale, Hansik is a ready-to-eat meal business creating traditional and modern Korean and Japanese dishes. You will be part of a small team preparing thousands of meals a week for delivery. If you desire to have an impact on a growing business we’d love to hear from you!
Duties
- Clean, cut, and prepare ingredients as directed by the kitchen manager
- Cook dishes according recipes and ensure consistency
- Weigh and portion food into individual containers
- Maintain clean work space and equipment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
Requirements
- A passion for Korean/Japanese food and cooking
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment (1 year minimum)
- Experience in a production or commercial kitchen is an asset
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to remain organized at all times in a fast paced environment
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist others as needed
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and problem solve
- Ability to stand and walk for 8+hours at a time. Ability to lift 50lbs
- Willingness to learn new things and adapt
- Be punctual
