Reporting to the Leader, Strategic Business Planning, as the Parking Programs Strategist, you will lead the long-term asset portfolio strategy for The City's parking programs. You will be responsible for optimizing asset productivity, managing pilot initiatives, and building a strategic roadmap for both on-street and off-street parking. You will also oversee rigorous rate reviews and supports the mentorship and development of Planning and Development Analysts. This role is essential to enhancing the performance and return on investment of The City's parking assets. Primary Duties Include:
- Supervise and mentor On-Street and Off-Street Planning and Development Analysts, providing strategic direction and oversight
- Establish milestones and monitor schedules for parking programs, including operating agreements, rate changes, and event rentals
- Contribute to the strategic roadmap for parking product features, technology integration, and business development
- Manage internal and external parking requests and inquiries, ensuring timely and effective responses.
- Lead major analysis projects, including off-street price modeling and annual land productivity assessments.
- A degree in Urban Planning, Transportation, Geography or a related discipline and at least 5 years of experience is required.
- Extensive knowledge in contract management and data analysis is required.
- A certificate in leadership and project management is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with municipal parking operations and rate structures is also an asset.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, asset management, and program development.
