Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Painter/Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have little to some experience in commercial and residential painting. This role requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure high-quality results. The Painter/Labourer will be responsible for preparing surfaces and occasionally applying paint while maintaining a focus on customer service. If you have minimal experience, training will be provided as required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, masking, sanding, and caulking as necessary.
- Apply paint, stains, and finishes to various surfaces including drywall, wood, and metal.
- Rig scaffolding and ladders to safely access high areas for painting tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment throughout the duration of projects.
Qualifications
- Some experience in job site environments is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to perform physical labour including lifting, standing for long periods, and working at heights.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques and materials used in construction painting is desirable but not required.
- A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.
