Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Packaging Development Associate to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will responsible for supporting development and execution of packaging projects. This includes creating packaging solutions for successful commercialization of new products that meet customer requirements, quality standards, and performance expectations.
You will design, test, and implement packaging solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to address all packaging needs from initial concept through to the first production run.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with packaging manufacturers to create packaging designs and solutions based on customer requirements and specifications.
- Work with cross functional teams including sales, production and maintenance to support with product commercialization.
- Assist in commercialization through fill-tests, die-line development and artwork approval.
- Develop and implement test methods to verify material compatibility and performance.
- Support timely completion of artwork development and customer documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and approval processes to ensure packaging quality and compliance.
- Assist in developing product specification sheets for production.
- Develop packaging samples and conduct trial runs for evaluation.

- Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to support new product launches.
- Gather requirements from internal stakeholders and external customers to understand expectations.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance.
- Evaluate packaging materials and processes for sustainability, propose improvements to reduce waste.
- Assist in procurement of packaging materials, and costing templates.
- Maintain required documentation for audits and quality assurance.
- Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Experience
- Bachelors degree in packaging science, engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in packaging design and development, preferably in CPG industry.
- Self- motivated, and demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, handles multiple tasks, and performs duties with a sense of urgency.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, food safety, and quality assurance principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
