Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Outfitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor activities and a strong background in retail sales. As an Outfitter, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring that our store is well-stocked and organized. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with product selection and inquiries.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
• Utilize POS systems for processing transactions, handling cash, and managing sales.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising techniques.
• Supervise and train new staff members to ensure adherence to company standards.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience.
• Perform stocking duties to ensure shelves are well-stocked with merchandise.
• Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on retail sales experience.
• Proficient in cash handling, basic math, and retail math principles.
• Experience with merchandising and stocking practices in a grocery store or similar retail environment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Supervising experience preferred for training new staff members.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base.
