Join our dedicated child care team! Master’s Academy & College is a fully accredited Christian school located in Southwest Calgary. Our school offers a dynamic before & after school program for students from K-6. We require an enthusiastic Level One Childhood Educator to join our out-of-school care team of Christian staff for the 2025-26 school year. The available position will require staff on school days only.
Salary: $20/per hour plus Alberta Government Wage Top Up for hours worked directly with children.
Job Location: Calgary SW
Hours required:
Monday to Thursday afternoons – 3:00 to 6:00 PM
Professional Qualifications:
- Level One Early Childhood Educator certification
- Police Information Check/Vulnerable Sector Search (must be willing to complete new PIC/VSS before start date)
- Standard First Aid/CPR is required
- Child Intervention Record Check
- Childcare experience is preferred
- Must be a Canadian citizen or legally entitled to work in Canada

- Strong communication skills - must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work in collaboration with team of early childhood educators.
- Enthusiastic and dedicated to working with children.
- Ability to manage confidential information
- Ability to manage spaces with varying noise levels and amounts of children
Responsibilities of position:
- Working with the child education team to engage children through a wide variety of education and recreational activities focused on supporting their social, physical, creative and emotional developmental needs.
- Co-leading a group of children with another child educator.
- Prepping supplies for activities
- Providing effective supervision of children at all times.
- Setting up the program spaces and tidying up after the children have left the program.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Attending staff meetings, training, and team building opportunities.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
