Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of various eye conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including pediatrics and senior care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments based on patient needs.
- Provide patient education on eye health and proper lens care.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in optometry and medical terminology.
- Engage in sales of optical products, ensuring patients receive the best options for their vision needs.
Skills
- Proven experience in optical settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of pediatrics and senior care practices.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to eye health.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic.
- Sales skills to effectively promote optical products and services.
