J.T. Setters & Sons Construction Ltd. is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator and a Labourer to join our underground team for the construction season. These positions support the installation of underground water and sewer services on various job sites throughout central Alberta.
Ideal candidates are self-motivated, hard working, with demonstrated communication and teamwork skills. At Setters, a strong commitment to safe work practices is non-negotiable. CSTS 2020 and Ground Disturbance certification is required.
Requirements
Operators:
- Previous mainline excavator experience
- Excavate around existing utilities with precision
- Understand and implement trench depth & grade
- Knowledge of excavation, trenching & shoring practices
- Maintain equipment to ensure safety and reliability at all times
Labourers:
- Previous water and sewer experience preferred
- Familiarity with operating various construction equipment & hand tools is a plus
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
