Jazz Lévis, a private seniors' residence located in Old Lévis, is seeking a full-time daytime nursing assistant position. No overtime. Healthy work environment and friendly management :) Group insurance, benefits, and low-cost meals.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Schedule: 35 hours/week, daytime, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with every other weekend off. Salary: Up to $24.70/hour
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
- Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
- Create and maintain metuculous notes in the residents Dossier in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ)
- Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
- Promote and advocate for proactive care among residents
- Respond to all emergency situations
- While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ease in the use of computer tools
- A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
- Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
- Member of the OIIAQ
