Wheels for wise is a Veteran Affairs independence program affiliate who assist Veterans and others to get to and from medical appointments, such as doctors appointments, physio, dentist, day surgeries, massage and many others. We are currently looking for a driver/support worker in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia or within a 50km radius
What we are looking for:
Veterans, Retired RCMP, or First Responders preferred but not necessary.
Position is part-time / Casual 5 to 30hrs a week which depends mostly on employees request
MUST have clean drivers abstract
MUST pass vulnerable sector check
MUST be able to temporarily support someone's weight
Mileage Paid when utilizing personal vehicle
PREFERRED Location of driver is in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia or within an 80 km radius.
Polite and Caring Demeanor
Smartphone required
Experience with individuals with PTSD is an asset
