Job Description for Front Desk Night Auditor
The Best Western Premier Chateau Granville which is located in the heart of the Entertainment District Downtown Vancouver is seeking a Night Auditor to join our team. Almost all of our 118 rooms and suites have private balconies with splendid views of downtown Vancouver’s skyline and bustling streets.
The successful candidate needs to possess a friendly and welcoming attitude and be able to work well in a busy environment and appropriately prioritize and multitask. The role of Front Desk Night Audit will be responsible for going through the Night Audit process in a detailed and thorough manner and ensuring everything is balanced and accounted for prior to running the Night Audit and completing all accompanying files and paperwork. As a Front Desk Night Audit you will also be welcoming our guests for later evening check ins and accurately verifying all information during the check in process and following up with guests during check out. Additionally, as you will be responsible for the hotel during the overnight period, you will also be dealing with and handling any guest issues, unruly and unwelcome guests, and any other situations which may arise through the shift.

Qualifications:
- Must be able to work overnight shift
- Must be able to work Saturday and Sunday
- Previous Night Audit experience is preferred
- Proven Hotel Front Desk skills and an ability to deliver welcoming hospitality
- Highly effective communication skills
- Enthusiastic and focused to exceed guest expectations.
- Team player who knows the value of guest service
- Capable of proactive problem solving and decision making.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to fluently speak, read, write and understand English
Duties
- Register arriving guests and assign rooms.
- Answer inquiries regarding hotel services, safety protocols, provide information about services available in the area and respond to guests’ requests.
- Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers.
- Present statements of charges to departing guests and receive payment.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance
- Audit hotel paperwork to ensure the day has balanced
- Run preliminary reports
- Process no shows and close of day
- Create, and maintain reports to Management and Owners
- Make reservations and ensure special requests are noted for appropriate action
- Remain current on room rates, room availability and emergency procedures.
