Job Description
Exuding professional grace, expertise and warmth at every opportunity, our team will work together to forge an honest connection between the kitchen and the table. Taking an authentic and elevated approach to hospitality, we are looking for a Fine-Dining Server Assistant who intuitively adapt to the unique needs of each guest and ensure everybody leaves feeling that their experience was well worth the journey.
What you will be doing:
- expertly answering questions about food, beverage, wine and other restaurant functions and services;
- proficiently assisting with food running that plates arrive to the proper guest, using table and seat numbers, without needing to “auction off” dishes;
- assisting servers with table service, including clearing and resetting tables between courses;
- monitoring the cleanliness of sections and ensuring all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter;
- collaborating closely with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service;
- communicating to all servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience;
- upholding all health and safety regulations and fine-dining steps of service.
- minimum 1 year experience working as a server assistant in a 5-star fine-dining establishment;
- a diploma or degree in tourism and hospitality or similar is considered a strong asset;
- wine, cocktail, and spirits knowledge;
- strong product knowledge;
- ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment;
- strong organizational skills;
- the ability to take direction and prioritize;
- strong oral communication skills.
