Job Summary
Are you a dedicated mortgage professional passionate about helping clients build wealth through strategic mortgage planning? We are looking for a Mortgage Agent who will be responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage process, providing exceptional customer service, and utilizing your expertise to help clients secure the best mortgage solutions available. Above all, you will place client financial education at the forefront, empowering individuals and becoming a trusted advisor.
Key Responsibilities (not a comprehensive list):
- Assess client financial situations and goals to determine the most suitable mortgage options and provide expert advice.
- Cultivate strong client relationships by providing personalized service, addressing inquiries, and maintaining regular communication throughout the mortgage process.
- Liaise with lenders to negotiate mortgage terms, secure favorable rates, and ensure a smooth and timely mortgage approval and closing process.
- Offer post-mortgage closing support to clients, addressing inquiries and providing guidance on mortgage-related matters.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a passion for success in a performance-driven, commission-based environment.
- Achieve sales targets by proactively seeking new business opportunities to expand client base
Requirements:
- Hold a valid and up-to-date mortgage license (Level 2)
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience as mortgage advisor
- Familiarity with the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing mortgage brokering, including compliance requirements.
- Proficient in analyzing financial information, assessing risk, and making informed recommendations to clients based on their financial goals
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with clients, referral partners, and community stakeholders to drive mortgage opportunities and referrals.
- A self-starter with a proactive approach to work, capable of working independently and seeking solutions
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Preference will be given to those with previous experience as a financial advisor or related
Your Performance Will Be Measured On:
- Number of funded transactions per year
- Referral Partner and Peer Survey Results
Please Do Not Apply If:
- You have no experience as a mortgage agent in the Canadian Residential market.
- You do not hold an active Ontario mortgage license (Level 2)
- You have less than 1 year experience in sales
- You have a hard time working in team environments
- You are not prepared to work 40 hours or more per week
- You are unable to come to our office in Scarborough, ON (M1H 3E3) for team meetings and occasional in office work days

Pay: $60,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
