Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience with automotive repair. As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of tires for various vehicles. Your role will also involve providing excellent customer service and assisting with sales when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Install, balance, and rotate tires on various types of vehicles.
- Perform tire repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Conduct thorough inspections of tires to identify wear and damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding tire options and services.
- Provide recommendations based on customer needs and vehicle specifications.
- Lift heavy tires and equipment as required during service operations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems.
- Experience using power tools and hand tools in a repair setting.
- Previous experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Sales experience is a plus, particularly in the automotive industry.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed (tires can weigh up to 50 pounds).
- High attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
