Mix Team Performance Lead
POSITION SUMMARY
The Mix TPL is responsible for the safe, efficient setup, and operation of production lines and Mix vessels per plant production and quality standards, for the overall control, and manufacturing of the products in their Mix Production Cell on their respective shift. Additionally, the Mix TPL will be responsible for delegating, and coordinating to the planned production schedule, assisting the Mix Operators in their tasks as well as performing the duties of the Mix Operators as required. Located at our London, Ontario site, the Mix TPL reports to the Mix Supervisor.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
A Mix TPL is responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Leads and directs Mix Operators to ensure proper line balancing and take appropriate action to meet business needs.
- Provides training and instructions of new Mix Operators on assigned shift.
- Identify and take appropriate action immediately when employees are not on track to meet the goal for the shift and coach the employees to ensure effective long-term improvements are implemented and sustained.
- Ensures that the Mix Operators clean and sanitize their respective processing areas as required to meet GMP and hygiene standards
- Ensures that all spills are reported and oversee the clean up using proper spill containment and reporting practices
- Ensures that all safety incidents are reported and ensure corrective actions are implemented in a timely fashion.
- Identifies and advises supervisor and maintenance team of major malfunctions or breakdowns and assists with the repairs as required
- Provide support to the plant regarding waste minimization, environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, and timely dispositions of returns, discrepant product and materials.
- Perform all quality checks and audits as per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Follow all ISO9001, GMP, and EH&S policies and / or procedures.
- Perform all requirements within the SAP platform to ensure accurate inputs as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Management

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma. Post- Secondary education in Science or Technical field preferred.
- 3+ years of leading or supervision and strong mechanical knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous Experience in Mix and operating equipment in the target area preferred
- Excellent organization/multitasking, communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work under aggressive timelines and multiple task assignments
- Strong communication (verbal and written), teamwork, and time management skills
- Ability to mentor, motivate, demonstrate, guide, coach and teach others
- Experience/ knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, SAP or other comparable ERP system, and Microsoft Office
