Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation
- Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds’ safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.
- Working closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure grade drilling is successfully carried out.
- Managing and interpreting data gathered through grade control drilling to ensure short term production goals are met.
- Assessing and managing ore loss and dilution in the field to maximize operational revenue.
- Gathering and interpreting geological data for the purpose of producing geological models.
- Collecting and interpreting samples in support of our ML/ARD management plan.
- Working closely with the processing team to ensure crusher and mill feed is optimized for throughput and recovery.
- Collaborate with the geology team members to develop procedures with respect to geology
- Stay current with mine geology trends and introduce any new information into work assignments.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to ensure compliance with industry and operational requirements
- Degree in geology required.
- 2 to 5 years of related experience required.
- Experience with mine planning / geological modeling software and other relevant tools.
- Experience in open-pit gold mining is considered an asset.
- Experience with reverse-circulation (RC) drilling is considered an asset.
- Understanding of geological principles, ore deposit types, and mineralization processes.
