Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires proficiency in handling phone, faxes and other digital systems, electronic medical records, familiarity with medical terminology, patient referrals and there chart movement, saving, and their retrieval
Responsibilities
- Greet patients, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and confirm patient visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems
- Handle administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and processing insurance information.
- Assist with patient inquiries regarding services and procedures.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming.
- Collaborate with clinic physician and staff to streamline office operations.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in an administrative role within a healthcare is preferred.
- Proficiency in using office equipment and phone/fax systems.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records software (YES EMR) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and office procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certificate in medical administration is required

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 38 per week
