Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant/ECG/Holter Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our medical office, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and service. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical office setting, possess knowledge of medical terminology, and be proficient in using electronic medical records systems and would have knowledge and experience to perform ECG's, obtain blood pressure measurements, hook up Holter monitors and ambulatory blood pressure monitors.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and provide information to patients.
- Perform ECG's, hook up Holter and ambulatory blood pressure monitors and obtain blood pressure measurements.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Collect and verify patient information
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and management to ensure efficient patient flow and communication.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential
- Familiarity or experience in cardiology is preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records systems is a plus.
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
