Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented, professional, and welcoming Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in creating a positive experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of our clinic. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients with warmth and professionalism.
- Manage incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff.
- Schedule and confirm appointments while maintaining accurate provider calendars.
- Collect and update patient information with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Communicate clearly using medical terminology when working with patients and healthcare providers.
- Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and updating patient records in Telus MedAccess (training provided if needed).
- Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient care.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare front desk role (required).
- Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology.
- Proficient with phone systems and comfortable managing high call volumes.
- Experience with Telus MedAccess is an asset, but a willingness to learn is essential.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Professional communication skills (verbal and written).
- Friendly, patient-focused attitude with a commitment to outstanding service.
