Medical office assistants play an integral part in the day-to-day function of our busy and comprehensive Family Medicine clinic. As a group, we take an active role in providing a robust medical home for our patients, as well as a strong training background for our medical students and Family Medicine residents. We are currently one of the only Family Medicine clinics involved in the province-wide EMR Connect Care.
We are looking for an energetic, reliable and hardworking individual to fill a full-time position to ensure continuity in the care of our patients. The clinic operates from 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
The MOA role involves:
One-to-one interaction with a physician
Greeting and rooming patients
Faxing and telephone communication
Coordinating and ensuring continuity with specialist referrals and additional testing
Successful candidates will have:
Prior MOA experience (2 years)
Proficiency with the use of computers as well as electronic medical records (Connect Care Training preferred)
