Medical Office Assistant (MOA)

Our Immigration Medical Clinic is a specialized healthcare facility dedicated to providing comprehensive medical examinations and services required for immigration purposes. With a focus on supporting individuals seeking immigration or visa applications, our clinic is equipped with experienced medical professionals adept at conducting thorough assessments adhering to the specific guidelines and requirements outlined by the IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada).
Job Purpose:
The Medical Office Assistant position is designed to provide essential support to Immigration Medical Clinic doctors in ensuring smooth clinic operations and delivering exceptional patient care. The MOA is expected to adhere to established procedures within the Clinic or as directed by the Clinic doctors. The candidate will be expected to be detail-oriented, energetic, and hard-working.
Duties:
Coordinate patient care within the Clinic, including check-ins, prepping, escorting to exam rooms, and preparing rooms for subsequent patients.
Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person courteously, efficiently, and informatively.
Prepare cases in advance of clinic days to streamline processes.
Manage and maintain the appointment schedule and recall system.
Maintain electronic medical records and update patient charts.
Ensure strict adherence to patient confidentiality protocols.
Perform patient preparation procedures and accurately document findings in patient records.
Execute additional clinical, administrative, or special tasks as required.
General Skills:
Experience with OscarPro preferred (optional).
Proficient team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Competency in computer operations including internet use, electronic medical records, and MS Office software.
Demonstrated speed and accuracy in tasks.
Effective problem-solving skills.
Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Successful completion of a Medical Office Assistant Staff Certification preferred (optional)
- Proven experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Type: Part-time, In-person
Hours: Must be available for every Wednesday 730 AM - 4 PM and Friday 730 AM - 4 PM. If you are not available during these days then please do not apply.
Salary: Commensurate with experience, $19-$21 per hour
