Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team.
This is a dynamic role that blends front-desk reception with administrative and clinical support to physicians thus playing a key part in ensuring our clinic runs smoothly and efficiently.
As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the clinic.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, great attention to detail, and familiarity with medical terminology and OSCAR electronic medical records systems as well as a strong work ethic, the ability to excel in a dynamic, team-oriented setting and ability to undergo basic clinical tasks.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Oscar EMR
- Verify patient insurance information and handle billing inquiries.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely patient care and follow-up.
- Assist in administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining a clean front desk area.
- Assist physicians with basic clinical tasks.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications
- Preference is for an IMG ( International Medical Graduate)
- Previous experience using OSCAR EMR is a MUST
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and administrative procedures is a MUST
- Very proficient in computer skills and administrative systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using phone systems and basic office equipment.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
