We are a family practice and walk-in clinic with two locations in NW Calgary looking for a Medical Office Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
-opening/closing duties
-greeting patients, arriving for their appointments
-creating patient files and verifying patient's demographics in EMR system
-answering multi-line phone system
-booking/confirming appointments
-scanning and linking documents -sorting/sending mail/faxes
-handling cash, operating debit machine and issuing receipts/invoices
-recalling patients for follow-up appointments
-notifying patients of specialist appointments
-assisting doctors, room prep, vital signs
-other administrative duties
What we are looking for:
- at least 1 year of experience
- outstanding customer service -ability to multitask
- ability to work under pressure
- strong and effective communication skills, professional, patient and friendly personality
- experience with EMR
- computer skills/experience (required) with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
-- someone who will take initiative and also follow direction.
