Antec Controls has a diverse engineering team which includes electrical, software and mechanical disciplines. The successful candidate will be expected to learn and create expertise within the role while remaining open to cross-training within our fast-growing business.
Mechanical Design Assistant (4 month Fall Term) – Antec Controls
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
• Supporting product designers in each stage of the design process
• Assembling prototypes and setting up test spaces
• Performing and documenting testing both benchtop and in mock-up test spaces
• Analyzing and interpreting testing results
• Supporting the creation of design documentation
• Providing design support for manufacturing
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
• Enrolled in post-secondary education for Mechanical Engineering or Technologist or equivalent
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with an eye for detail
• A co-operative team player attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• An aptitude and willingness to learn new skills
• A high level of critical thinking and accountability
• Experience with hand tools and wiring considered an asset
