This job requires you have a drivers licence and a vehicle to transport equipment (most vehicles will fit).
We are currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic manager to run our booth at weekly farmers markets.
Weekly Shifts:
Saturday - Kelowna Landmark District 6:45am-1:30/2pm (market hours 8-1pm)
Sunday - Peachland Market (Leave Kelowna 7:40am)-3pm (Market hours 8-2)
Wednesday - Kelowna Landmark District 6:45am-1:30/2pm (market hours 8-1pm)
Thursday - Vernon Market (leave Kelowna 6am)-2:30 (market hours 8am-1pm) *Pick up equipment from Packing house storage 15 mins before
Pay Structure
- Hourly Rate: $12/hour + 7% commission on personal sales
- Guaranteed Base Pay: $20/hour (averaged per pay period)
Example: If in a 2-week pay period you work 6 shifts (24 hours per week, 48 hours total) and total sales are slower—say $4,000 due to bad weather—you would still earn $960 for that period, based on the $20/hour guaranteed base pay.
- Driving pay (compensation for commute for shifts outside of Kelowna)- $30/driving hour

Personalized Assistance: Listen to customers' preferences and help them find the right products by offering suggestions that match their needs and style. This includes helping customers find the correct size, style, and price range of products they seek.
Product Knowledge: Share information about Okana Handmade's unique products, including their features and the local artists behind them.
Processing Payments: Handle cash and card payments accurately, ensuring a smooth and efficient transaction process.
Inventory Support: Keep track of stock levels, restock products as needed, and report any low inventory to help maintain a well- organized booth.
Transporting Equipment: Pick up and drop off equipment from our Downtown Kelowna storage locker.
Booth Set-Up and Take-Down: Set up and take down the booth, ensuring everything is in place and ready for customers.
