About the Role
Carquest Canada is seeking a strategic and results-driven Manager, Inventory Management to lead our CARQUEST Canada inventory planning team. This role is pivotal in managing forecasting and replenishment processes across our distribution center network, ensuring seamless collaboration with vendors, purchasing, and logistics teams.
You’ll oversee a team of Inventory Planners, drive performance against business objectives, and play a key role in optimizing inventory levels to support sales, service, and financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of 4 Inventory Planners.
- Manage forecasting and replenishment for CARQUEST Canada vendors.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including overseas sourcing teams.
- Analyze inventory data and adjust strategies to meet sales, service, and financial targets.
- Ensure alignment of inventory plans with marketing, merchandising, and logistics strategies.
- Monitor logistics and product flow to distribution centers.
- Develop and manage fiscal year budgets and performance goals.
- Maintain high accuracy in inventory systems and reporting tools (ADIS/AS400, Excel).
- Represent the department in cross-functional meetings and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the parent corporation in the U.S. including occasional travel
What You Bring
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
4+ years in retail inventory management, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of supply chain operations and automated replenishment systems.
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros); ADIS/AS400 experience preferred.
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
Experience with international sourcing and logistics is an asset.
